TYHD-2 panel type fault indicator(be called indicator for short below) is mainly used for switch gears for locally indicate short circuit fault and earth fault and also provide wireless signal output . Data Transmission Unit(wireless)Data Transmission Unit function is to receive wireless signal from panel indicator then to demodulate and decode,then send the signal to central station by GSM or GPRS.

Data Transmission Unit(wireless)Working principle
Date Transmission Unit is to transmit the fault signal from panel indicator which is transmitted from short-circuit fault indicator and earth fault indicator through optical fiber. DTU receive data wireless from panel indicator ,then send the fault signals to master station by GSM or GPRS after analysis and processing to realize fault detection and fault location of power distribution network .
Data Transmission Unit Main characteristics
Wireless receive:receive fault point information from panel indicator through wireless
GSM OR GPRS send: send status and fault information to master station,requires confirm detailed requirement before order.
Main supply: powered by two roads of powered CT, back up used each other, if primary line current is not less than 10A, back-up power will not be consumed; or PT powered.
Back-up power supply:equipped with free-maintenance 5AH lithium battery. Under condition of no power for main power source, it can keep device working 5-8 years and fault information not lost and no need to complement energy.
Data Transmission Unit Function
1. wireless receive: receive fault point signal from panel indicator by wireless
2. GSM or GPRS transmission: send status information, fault information to master station by GSM or GPRS.
3. Power supply way:PT supply or two road of CT supply, if primary current is above 10A,it can work normally.

3, Installing methods
Method of installing:
L1 connects with A phase for signal input from optical fiber
L2 connects with B phase for signal input from optical fiber
L3 connects with C phase for signal input from optical fiber
L4 connects with Earth line for signal input from optical fiber
3.1 Fault indicate function
The lights on the L1,L2,L3,and Earth buttons will flash with a an interval of 4 seconds,if the short circuit fault or earth fault occur.This can be reset automatically according to the time delay set before delivery from the factory or manually reset by pressing button of “Reset/Test”.the status of low battery capacity of the indicator can be uploaded by wireless,in the meantime, The indicator will flash for low battery voltage(with 4 seconds of interval).
3.2 Reset/Test function
3.2.1 Reset: press lightly the “Reset/Test” button slightly, it will reset after all lights on in indicator
3.2.2 Self-checking:
press ““Reset/Test” button, press on L1 and L2 in turn, then let go, after all lights are on at mean time once, the corresponding address lights is on. In 10s, corresponding address lights are on again, then self-checking finished.(indicator current address refer to label number in the back).address is corresponding to L1,L2,L3,E lights by BCD code, instructions is as following table:

3.2.3 L1,L2,Wireless function self-checking
press “Reset/Test” button, press on L1 and L2 and L3 in turn, then let go, the indicator will send wireless status message to upper computer, the “ battery low voltage” light will flash fast 3 times to indicate, it tells test finished. If transmission is failed, the test status will exit automatically in 1 minute. Operator also can press slightly on “Reset/Test” button to reset indicator and exit this status.
3.2.4 indicator address configure
When install the indicator, the panel indicator address should not be the same in the same RMU or switching station, if the address is same, it will result in the information transmission mixed error.each indicator labels its current address(when installed, its address also can be checked by the way of self-checking. If need to modify indicator address,please follow the following steps:press “Reset/Test” button, press on L1 and L2,L3,Earth fault lights in turn, then let go,light of “low battery voltage” flash(with an interval of 1s) and change to ready- setting state(automatically exit in 20s), press again“Reset/Test” button, lights of L1,L2,L3,Earth fault will display address (1-8)by the address sequence of BCD code, when it displays the address which requires to be configured, then let go at once,the expected address will flashing clockwise with the light of “low battery voltage”, at this time, press the button again and save this address. The operator can refer to the self-checking steps mentioned in 2.2 to check if the address written is right; if configuration is not right or cancel this configuration, please not save, the configuration status will exit automatically in 20s.

4.2 Self-reset ,self-reset time can be set before delivery from factory (The default value is 12 hours).

Part 2 :The cable indicator of short circuit fault
1.Summary
The TYHD-2 cable indicator is suitable for the cable 35kV system (including bellow 35kV system).It can only judge short-circuit, without locally indicating function. When short-circuit happened in cable,It can help line finder find the fault quickly .shorten power-off duration,improve the reliability of power supply,The picture of product is below:

2. Working principle
Using clip-on line structure of fault detector as sensor of measuring load current. The intelligent controller control as the core with little power consumption ,When a circuit has a short circuit fault,The fault detector automatically recognize fault current characteristics to judge intelligently. In the meantime. the action signal will be transmitted to the panel indicator installed locally by fiber and locally indicating,then the panel indicator send the wireless signal to DTU to realize the remote transmission of fault signal
3,Installing methods
Clip the indicator on the line as shown in the pictures1.2.3, rotate the screws clockwise to fix it and tighten the fault detector, connect the fault detector and panel indicator through short-distance plastics optical fiber; make sure to insert the optical fiber to the other end and tighten the nut. The length of the optical fiber should be less than 10m,The shorter the distance ,the higher the reliability .optical fiber cross-section is cut flat with a paper cutter, which is beneficial to the transmission of fiber signal
After the test completely cover the rubber cover,in order to avoid abnormal indicator accused by long-term light leakage

Using specially designed open zero-sequence CT as sensor of measuring zero-sequence current, micro-power consumption intelligent controlling chip is as core. When earth fault happen, earthed detector will automatically distinguish fault current characteristics to judge earth fault intelligently, then transmit the data to panel indicator to display by optical fiber, and the panel indicator will send wireless signal to DTU to realize the remote transmitting for fault signal.
